Suleiman Said Shahbal

Suleiman Said Shahbal is a Kenyan businessman and politician with extensive experience in banking, investment, and regional politics. He is the founder of GulfCap Group and Gulf African Bank and currently serves as a Member of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), where he chairs the Committee on Communication, Trade and Investment. Shahbal has contested the Mombasa gubernatorial seat before and remains one of the county's most prominent political figures. Ahead of the 2027 General Election, he has again emerged as a leading gubernatorial contender with support from influential ODM leaders.
