Mwenda Gataya

Mwenda Gataya Mo Fire is a Kenyan politician serving as the Senator for Tharaka Nithi County. He was elected in the 2022 General Election on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, succeeding the current Deputy President, Kithure Kindiki, as the county's Senator. As of July 2026, Senator Mwenda Gataya has publicly declared that he intends to contest the Tharaka Constituency Member of Parliament seat in the 2027 General Election, rather than seek re-election as Senator.
